There are 50 questions on the permit test. You need to get at least 80% in order to pass. Remember, You are NOT allowed to use the driver’s handbook during your permit test. You are being tested on your ability to recall the rules of the road. Prepare yourself before you go in and you will see that you can do well without the manual.

You must get at least 50 hours of driving training with a licensed instructor or with a licensed driver 25 or older. At least 10 of those 50 hours must be at night. You must log your hours in a Log of Supervised Driving. On the day you go to take your road test, you will be required to show the log to the examiner.
